Not a paper. Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season. Kansas City 33, Indianapolis 30, overtime. Harrison Butker’s 40-yarder after Mahomes and Kenneth Walker set it up as time expired. The Colts had a fourth-and-8 they did not take. Shane Steichen said he would have gone for it if the coverage was right. Coverage was not right. Kick was.
The rest of the Sunday was a different sport than Thursday. Bills 41–31 Lions to open the new Buffalo house, Josh Allen five scores. Then a weekend where five teams scored no touchdowns. Vikings 9–3 Bears. Panthers 34–3 Falcons. Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels both left hurt. I like 9–3 more than 41–31. 9–3 is a game that refuses to become a game.
